Central Michigan University reports 54 students with coronavirus, suspends in-person Greek activities

Following the return of students to campus, Central Michigan University saw a spike in the number of positive cases in the Mt. Pleasant area. There were three areas identified that university officials are focusing on, including two Greek life houses. In response, CMU has mandated that any in-person events hosted by sororities or fraternities be cancelled. The school is also seeking to prevent all other off-campus parties not affiliated with Greek life.

University Of Pittsburgh Will Randomly Test Incoming Students For Coronavirus

As part of its response to COVID-19, the University of Pittsburg announced that it will be randomly testing a select group of undergraduate and graduate students at the school. This may include those who are not exhibiting symptoms of the disease. Other strategies the school is utilizing to limit the spread of COVID-19 include a staggered return to school for students in the fall and daily reports on symptoms.
